When your rehearsal space is in the country, and it’s the middle of a winter storm, and it’s snowing and freezing, and your rehearsal space has a blown furnace, and it’s your last practice before a big gig — it’s all propane heaters, toques and winter boots, and getting stuck in snowbanks.

That’s true Canadian rock and roll for you.

We’ll be playing an all-night rockorama at the Alberta Beach Hotel a week from tonight. We’ve never played there before, and we’re looking forward to the show. Here’s the details:

• Show: Original Six at Alberta Beach rock and roll party all night long yahoo awesome let’s stay till close and worry about sleep later!
• Date: Saturday, Nov. 19
• Venue: Alberta Beach Hotel (5003 50th Avenue, Alberta Beach) (Google Maps)
• Showtime: 9 p.m. till close
• Cost: No cover. Just have fun and be merry.
